Most librarians are educators in one form or another. I worked full time at a community college as a Library Specialist. One of my library duties was assisting students with their computer applications questions (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). After receiving a Master’s in Library and Information Science, I decided to start teaching computer courses part-time. I believe that the best teachers learn from others and learn by doing. Now, I am a Reference Librarian at a public library. I teach basic, intermediate, and advance computer skills to the general public. This is why I created Librarian in the Classroom to share my experiences and learn from other teachers/librarians.
